One of the best gifts you can give someone in business this holiday season is the gift of your contacts' business. Most of us have never really sat down and thought about how we could really help our top 10-20 business contacts for any great length of time.
So where do you begin?
1. Sit down and make a list of your top 10-20 business contacts.
2. Next to each of their names write down the types of industries or contacts they are looking to meet. If you don't know, ask them, you should be finding this out anyway...not just for the holidays.
3. Brainstorm who you know in each of those industries or specific positions and write them down next to the appropriate contact.
4. Call up the people you have listed and let them know that you would like for them to take your contact's call.
5. Let your top 10-20 business contacts know who you have put a call into for them and give them the appropriate contact information.
Your contacts will appreciate the referrals and all it took was a little bit of your time.
