We often get the question from new members, “How can ODC help me in my networking?” So we have come up with the top 3 ways our veteran members utilize ODC to build and enhance their business networks. Here’s what they had to say:
Connecting with their target market. ODC’s unique search tool allows its members to search by name, job title, and company. This makes it easy to find connections in your target market. In addition, if you have a specific person that you need to meet you can search for them by name and company to ensure that you are reaching the correct person. This will allow you to allow you to leverage your networking time effectively.
Connecting with potential joint venture or strategic partners. One of the best ways to grow your business is to quit going after individual prospects and instead start making connections with people that can introduce you to multiple prospects. A traditional example of this would be for a Realtor to build a relationship with a mortgage broker. In One Degree Connected you can connect with those who have the same target market as you and leverage your time even more.
Connecting their clients and strategic partners to whomever they need to meet. We all have heard our business connections mention a person or company they are looking to have a meeting with. Many of our veteran ODC users have begun using the tool as a resource for their network by keeping track of who their network is looking to meet and making the needed connections through ODC.
For example, let’s say that you know your client is looking for a new accountant and you don’t know one close to them. You could go on One Degree Connected and look for an accountant in their area and ask to be introduced to them. You establish a relationship with them and then introduce them to your client if it makes sense. You bring that much more value to your client and you have also expanded your network.
